    Cole's first Soccer game

Last year Cole begged us to put him in soccer ... we said not going to happen bud your playing baseball. Honestly we thought it was a phase that would pass. But Cole remained strong and true to soccer, insisting that this was his sport and that he was great at it. He continued to play out on the streets with his friends and at school during recess. At his VIP day all his friends informed us that he is the King of Soccer. So Jason bought him a ball and started playing with him . After a few days of playing with him J said" I think he's good. " We gave in and agreed to let him play soccer . After his first practice his coach came up to me and said , " he's going to be one of our stars , he handles the ball really well. I was excited for Cole after hearing this from his coach. But still didn't know what to expect. I know nothing about soccer..... completely clueless. Who knew how well he would really do playing with other kids . Not me . And then the big game day rolled around and in the first 60 seconds he had scored a goal and continued to score with 2 more goals winning the game 4 to 1 . And finally he was able to put a big grin on his face and say to us "I told you I was the king of soccer" and we agreed . I'm so happy for you Cole. Way to stand your ground with us silly parents. You know who you are and are adamant about making your own decisions. And that puts a smile on my face.

26 miles or how about 20 ..... Saturday was the big marathon day and it started with J waking up at 3 a.m. tossing and turning in anticipation for the race. At 4:30 he finally got up and got ready to head out. The race started at 7:00 a.m and around 8:30 Me, Char , Kel , Sky, Joe and Cole arrived at our first check point on Holladay Blvd. 5 minutes later here come J and Bennett
ahead of schedule ( 1: 40 ) at mile 12 looking strong and running like Forrest Gump past us... silly kids.

So me and Kel continued on to our next check point mile 21 and this is where things got a little sketchy. We were sitting in our chairs enjoying a crusty , stale hot dog and chatting with Kasi and her friend. When we see Bennett but, no J . Initially I thought he was just lagging behind him a bit and wasn't to worried. So we hoop and holler for Bennett give him a hug and then I ask where's my J? And he says "he broke down about 4 or 5 miles ago" to which I say haha seriously where is he ? He says, " seriously he broken down." This is where I started freaking out a bit. I knew he had reinjured his I- T band and I knew it had to be bad. J doesn't like to lose and he definitely doesn't quit. So Kasi took off on her bike thank god she was there.... and found my broken J. After talking to him on the phone, he decided he was going to pack it up. And thats when I told kelly I'd be doing this again. Long story short he could hardly stand to walk anymore the pain was so bad .He had been running / walking for the last 4 miles and couldn't take anymore. So Ryan took off in his speedy cop car and I took my wounded runner home and babied him.. only for a day... cause I'm just not that nice. he he

Which brings us to today..... Redemption ! My crazy J is going to torture him self again . Why do you ask .... because Failure is not an option. So here is my humble unexperienced advice boys.

    1. keep you head in the game . Stay focused and in the zone, staring now.

    2. Don't leave each other . When one of you is feeling weak you can swat their ass and tell them to buck up !

    3. Run longer than 15 miles before the race.

    4. Try and get some sleep the night before.

    5. The Gatorade is for drinking not an accessory to be worn on your shirt.

    6. Train, train, train !

    7. Pace your self so you can finish strong.

    8. (This bit of advice is for J only . Bennett your skinny enough )Eat healthy and lose a few pounds.

    9. and remember we will be cheering for you every step of the way !

Kasi, me Kel before we found out j was done.

    Gump and Bennett

P.S. I am so proud of both you boys !

I'm over the moon happy !!!!!!!

The Sergeant's list was posted yesterday and Jason is 2nd on the list. ( jumping, screaming followed by kisses and a yippee! ) The aren't words to express how proud I am of J. He's more than amazing ....he seems to accomplish this with such ease it makes me wonder if it's even hard for him....he never disappoints me. In fact he exceeds all expectations . When it comes to this stuff he's my rock star. I couldn't be happier ! I'm feeling truly blessed to have a man that takes care of our family as well as J does. I know he will do a great job ! So excited ! eek ! I'm feelin a little giddy ! Congrats Babe !

    Lava Hot Springs

Last weekend I went on a much needed Girlfriend Getaway to Lava ! I definitely came back feeling my self again. I love these girls they are encouraging, fun, strong, unique, and we always have each other's back ! I love them ! I love getting to know them better and really love how different their personality's are . They all have inspired me to be a better person and I'm sure they don't even realize it. So thanks girls for being my friend !

While in Lava we went to a fun little Bar & Grill Blue moon I think it was. It was definitely interesting those Potato growers have some fresh ideas on how to make your time at the bar well spent. For example we played a competitive game of musical chairs that's right I said musical chairs at the bar ( weird ) . Talk about crazy let's get 12 wild, drunk, feisty chicks up to the front please and have them go in circles ( like were not already spinning ) and then battle for a seat or Not . I ended up on the floor on my ass. OUCH ! I'm not to embarrassed. Jessica was sort of with me. She was in her chair face up on the floor. HAHA ! Loved it ! Only in Idaho ! We might have been pushed around the dance floor by a few cowboys. But mostly we enjoyed each others fabulous company, the live band and some serious dancin. We dropped it a few times and suffered sore thighs the next morning but it was definitely worth it.

We are so FINE !!! haha does anyone say that anymore !

    Randomness

    A few updates...
    • Jason is in the process of testing for Sargent again. He passed the first test and is on to the second phase. So cross your fingers and send us good vibes. We need this.

    • Cole has decided that his friends are right he is the king of soccer and he is ready to go pro. ha-ha . OK he'll settle for being in a league on an official team. Which means he will not be playing baseball this year. ( small tears and pouty lips ) I guess I will be a soccer mom and will learn to love it just as much.

    • Joe has decided that he doesn't want to do baseball at all . Sports may not be his thing so he is out for now. ( more small tears ) Which means he will be supporting his brother with the rest of the family. No Joe you don't get to sit home and watch T.V. by yourself . Yes, I am the meanest mama .

    • We have some fun activities planned this month including Zac Brown Concert this weekend, Girls only trip to Lava , and the scrapbook expo. Yippee. I need some fun in my life it's lacking lately.

    • And how about this for random. I've decided to give up on giving up tanning. I look awful pale is not cute on me. So I'm throwing pale out and hitting the tanning beds. I can't take it any longer. Bring on the wrinkles ! I need to be tan and I'm tired of waiting for summer to waltz in here . Is anyone else feeling me on this ?
    • Cole was awarded Principal pride again . I asked what for and he said because I dance the macarena the best. HA-HA They dance at P.E apparently he throws down a good macarena. Unfortunately not good enough for an award . It was actually for improved reading . Bless his heart. I thought it was so cute how convinced he was that it was for his Fabulous dancing.

Anyway that's it we are all caught up now. R we impressed with how consistent my bloggings been ? Well I am anyway. And just because blogs are boring without photos. Here's a few summer photos of us lounging at the pool. I am so longing for sun, heat , and blue skies !

    Just because

I love my nieces and nephews. They never fail to put a smile on my face.

Alex I don't have a picture of. We don't see her much but she is super intelligent, a little go getter and full of potential.

Skyler spends quite a bit of time around our house lately. She is a little extension of us, I guess you could say. She's an amazing softball pitcher, always eager to help out and it's always nice to have another girl around the house . Even up the #'s a little bit.

Dylan is a total boy ! I think he has pretended to be every super hero there is at one point or another at my house. He's always has his fists up ready to fight. And he's hysterical ..he says the most random out of no where comments. I love him he's entertaining.

Isaac has the most beautiful eyes. He is all about the toys . Has the cutest little voice...I love listening to him talk. He is at the most adorable age. I seriously could gobble him up.

Miah is my girl . She is becoming quite the sassy little thing and I love it ! All girls should have a bit of sas .. don't you think ?

Kaitlyn has the face of a porcelain doll .. she can light up a whole room with that adorable little face. She is learning to talk and says the cutest little things like urple lippers. ( purple slippers )

So that's it ! I love them all ...they make me happy. They are at the best ages and I'm glad that I get to be their Aunt and babysit them once in awhile. It helps when I think I need another baby to have them over. They are priceless.
