Cole was all about Halloween. He wanted to be spooky, trick or treat with his friends and let me go crazy snapping photos. Joe = 12 =Jr. High = to cool to dress up = friends and him trying to be funny in their "costume shirts "

Jason turned the big 40 and NO I don't think he's ever going to grow up.

Cole and me on what was suppose to be our one on one date until Dad decided to tag along .
So we had a parent /son day out. It was fun having lunch and hanging out at the Nickel Cade. Joe and I went without dad for ice cream and some shopping at target. My goal is to spend some 1 on 1 time with my munchkins more often to make up for all the time I'm at work now. :(

And the most exciting event drum roll please !!!!!! Baby Lilly finally arrived ! And we are all so excited to have a newborn in the Syme family ! She is a doll and gets cuter every time I see her. I wish I could move into my brother's house for awhile, I think Joe would be right on my heels. As soon as we got home from visiting her he asked if we could go see her again tomorrow. :) He's my boy ! And I wish we could go every day ( I think people would think I was crazy if I did or I probably would ) I'm so baby hungry and she is so perfect and will grow to fast as all baby's do.

Well that gets us caught up on all the big events for the last month and a half.

Jason Aldean

The concert was pretty amazing a bit louder that the boys were expecting they plugged their ears when Jason wasn't singing ! Ha-ha ! I think the opening act bored them a bit..If I'm being honest I wasn't super entertained by Chris Young either but Aldean was worth the wait.

Towards the end when he was rocking out and I mean rocking out and not to any of the songs that the boys knew ... Cole had had enough the screaming from all the girls and the thumping and screaming guitars was more than Luggy could handle. So we waited outside and listened. A couple more years and I'm sure they will be all about it ! All in all it was a success we had some good laughs and they really enjoyed Jason Aldean !

Double Digits....

Chicken rolls Yummy !

And excited to be there. You have been saying double digits for the last week and you finally made it !
Isn't it so funny how anxious we are to grow old when we are young !" I can't wait tell I'm 18" I hear him say ." I want to be older mom." Oh lordy please no . I'm looking for a slow down tap the brakes baby and back up ! My baby is 10 and I don't know where the time went ...it almost feels like another life . Do I even remember him as a baby a toddler a first grader. I wish I could back up and absorb it all again . .. really slow down, soak it up be present cause time really is fleeting ! Do you ever get scared at how fast life goes. Is there a freeze button ? Cause I'm not ready for the next 8 years to fly by and probably at a faster pace. Scares me I tell ya .. I just can't think about it.

So I won't how about I tell you 10 great things about my munchkin instead...

1. he's adorable

2. he's a cuddler

3. he's bullheaded

4. he hates reading

5. he's obsessed with friends & playing

6. he's a bit ofa scaredy cat.

7. he likes wearing his hair in a flohawk

8. he keeps a messy room.

9. he plays well with his little cousins

10. he has a good memory sings songs word for word and like's to quote movies .

And I love watching him grow into the double digit boy he is hell bent on being !

So to celebrate we had dinner of his choice chicken rolls.. chocolate cake and cookies n' cream ice cream.. presents and watched survivor he loves to watch the challenges. And friday he will have his friend sleepover followed up with bowling . It should make for a good weekend.

I forgot how much I love summer concerts. We had such an amazing time at Tim Mcgraw. The Madsen's are fun, chill and always ready to play. And boy did we play ! :)

Every third girl had daisy dukes and cowboy boots ...so why not this hysterical boy. I loved it such a bizarre, random thing to do. Was he clowning on the girls or for real ? We will never know but it was definitely picture worthy. As U can see I was a little excited about my cameo with this kid.

I haven't been a big fan of Luke tell last night. He is quite the entertainer ! Captivating, funny, hot, nice moves and able to work the crowd.. Loved him !

No kissing in public ! J usually says, but he was friskier than normal so I took advantage ! he-he !

My only complaint -I had moments of regret for not making it to Kenny a couple weeks ago . It was such a great night I forgot how fabulous summer concerts are and I know Kenny would have topped it ( for me anyway ). Love him ! And it's always fun when you can sing every song ! And when it comes to Kenny lord knows I can !

The good stuff

We've been so busy crossing off the big events on our summer list that we've neglected the simple things that are just as enjoyable. One of those being enjoying dinner out on the patio. So tonight we crossed that off our list I heart summer nights, hot dogs, fries and yummy cupcakes and most importantly the company of my boys !

This is what happens 20 minutes after Karate Kid's ends without fail the boys feel the need to karate chop one another ! LOL typical boys !

So we R off to raging waters tomorrow the first time since the boys have been back....should be fun ! More good stuff to come ! :)

Summer Time

Let's start with July 4th . Neil's favorite firework is a golden shower The boys love lighting fireworks, watching fireworks and listening to the blast and booming mini explosives. The days of hiding in the back of Grandma's garage are over. Hooray ! However now I feel like taking cover in the garage because my little pyro think it's funny to light firecrackers under my chair. Nope not funny. Firecrackers = wet pants !

Kel and me made it to the drive in before the boys took off to Mississippi and we had a lovely time. I'm so glad we did this again and hope it will become our little tradition. Great times !

I'm a camping girl . I always have fun camping with this caker....even though she hates it. :)Hades is The good stuff. Can't wait to go again with J's family. Picture Perfect ! ha-ha :)

Well that gets me up to date. I can't wait tell the boys get home so I have someone to play with again. We've had quite the summer and I hope we finish it with a big bang :) Until then I'm going to continue to relax . It's been weird we have never been a part this long . However I am enjoying the free time, chillin with friends and just being with J. P.S. the boys are having a blast . :)

Lazy days at the pool !

Our hang out this summer is seven Peaks AKA Rage . We are there at least once a week and loving every minute of it. Cole was a little scaredy cat at first, he refused to go down any of the slides but 4 visits later and a lot of arm twisting and he's been down every slide. Well except the 2 big ones that even Jason was nervous about going on .. he -he. Now he begs me everyday to go because it is so awesome ! We are enjoying every minute of summer and I hope you are too !

Joe's Birthday

What can I say about this Boy that I haven't already said ? He's amazing, happy, smart, handsome, sweet, good natured, funny and usually listens to me bossing him around with few complaints and only the occasional eye roll. ( I think he gets that from me. ) We took him and a few of his buds to the arcade. It was a BLAST !

WE kept it simple with the Fam this year and just had grandparents over.... Much easier.

This game was a mistake it seriously drives me crazy. They could play it all day. It's loud and only 1 player. which = arguments , screaming and constant nagging by them to play it more.

Good lord he's 12 . Really ? Really ?

I have a problem...

Called the Sweet Tooth Fairy ! When I put in a full 40 hr. work week my car steers itself to this amazing little bakery and I find myself eating these babies. OH so yummy ! What else is a girl to do with a hour lunch break. If you haven't tried them you need to.

New Beginnings

Easter\Spring puts a spring back in my step. Flowers blooming, sunshine peeking through the clouds, fresh cut grass and longer brighter days make me hopeful that I will soon be dusting off my cabin fever( permanently) and enjoying some outdoor activities. I've always thought that spring would be more fitting for New years then January . January screams blah ! April\May screams new life , color , fun and happy days right around the corner. I'm so excited !

Our life is in a bit of a limbo these days. We are waiting to hear some news that we hope will be a positive addition in our life's. It will mean some big adjustments but if offered I don't know how we could say no. And I think I'm ready for change. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Growing UP !

Last night we went to Joe's orientation for Junior High. Can I say WOW ! This is a new school and it was pretty impressive . It made me want to go back and do it again. Sign me up please . Your halls are painted purple your lunch room looks like the mall. I think it sounds better than work. Ok ok . Seriously I can't believe my baby is going to junior high . I'm so not ready for this. Am I ? Am I even old enough for this ? Is he ? I guess so. I actually left feeling excited and hopeful. Excited for all the fun possibilites coming his way. New friends, elective classes, activities, dances , lockers, lunch ala carte, new girls, art classes and ice cream !!!! He was most excited about the ice cream and lunch , lunch and lunch . Yes he is very much a boy ! He likes to eat ! And he can eat ice cream every day if he chooses. What's better than that ?

I like to think he is still my little boy but last night made me realize he really is becoming a young man . And this road he's about to go on is part of the process of becoming a young man, a mini adult. I hope he makes good friends . Is true to who he is . And makes good choices and isn't afraid to talk to his mom about anything and everything. And if and when he does I hope I will be open supportive and remember what it was like to be that age. It wasn't that long ago maybe that's the bonus to being a young mommy ! Let's hope ! Here's to the future with a boy like mine it's bound to be bright !
