V.I.P and Another Birthday .....

Sorry I have been M.I.A for awhile. I haven't been motivated to do this blog lately. When i started this blog it was for the benefit of my family that was out of state. Well now my older brother and his family are home from N.Y. and here to stay ! YEA ! I couldn't be happier because I love his family so very much. And my other brother who lives in Mississippi has given up on blogging and switched to facebook months ago. So it leaves me wondering who the hell reads this anymore. Anyway, I think I've decided to stick with it because it helps me remember things I would other wise forget. It's a little journal I guess and good to look back on when I'm scrapping. So I will continue but, it might not be as often as it once was.

V.I. P day for Cole was great for me. It was a day for us to tell Cole's class stories about him but I learned a lot about cole from his class and teacher instead. This is what the kids said about Cole 1. Cole is friends with everyone . 2. The girls think he is super handsome. 3. He is the king of soccer. 4. his teacher said she was impressed with how humble Cole was when receiving so many great compliments from the kids. (I guess most boys flex their muscles and act all cocky. )Anyway I was glad to hear that Cole is kind to everyone. It impressed me that he never excludes any of the kids. The girls liked him because he let them play soccer with him . Even though they can't beat him. And they weren't shy about telling him how cute he was. ha ha so funny ! Cole hated the girls saying he was cute because he thought it meant they wanted him to be their boyfriend. Funny stuff !

Cole turned 8 on the 28 th of September. We had a ice skating party for him and his buddies from school. Only 1 of them had ever been ice skating before so they were a little scared at first but , after a few falls, a couple pep talks and a minute of hanging on to me or Cole they seemed to get the hang of it. I was impressed !

Jason competed in another race at Snowbird ..4 grueling miles up a steep mountain. It took him a little over an hour he placed 15th overall and 3rd in his age group. I was grateful to take the tram to the top. Afterwards we hung out at Octoberfest and the kids enjoyed an all day pass for, The Alpine side, rock climbing, zip lines, and trampolines. It was a good weekend !

Besides that I've painted both the boy's room and I think they turned out pretty well . Now I just need to decorate . I'm working on a scrapbook project for my MIL. And hoping it will turn out cute . I'm also thinking I should send some more pages in to Creating Keepsakes . One of these days I will be published . I can achieve the impossible right ? : ) And I've been reading some books in photography .. I want to take better photographs , I love pictures ! One day I'll have a kick a.. camera and fabulous photos of my family and friends. While I'm dreaming I'm going to open up a scrap book boutique. ( Jason thinks I'm ridiculous but a girl can dream right ? ) Anyway enough rambling about nothing .....

Camping Pictures

We had a great time camping, the fries at Defa's were so yummy , the boys spent all day shooting BB guns and me and Kelly laid out by the river bank. While the boys went fishing we spent an hour or longer taking pictures mostly of us jumping . And a few model shots of me and kelly....watch out wilameana were going to be your next top models . ( Right Kelly ) HEHE ! Totally kidding but, we did have to much fun taking silly pictures.

makes for an excellent theme party ! Our friend Brett turned 36 last weekend and had a fabulous red neck/ TPT party. We had so much fun shoppin at the D for our outfits ... I seriously hate the D, it makes me nauseated but J was entertaining trying on overalls that were not at all flattering . I won't go into detail ...you don't want scary images stuck in your head. Anyway we came up with some pretty ridiculous outfits ! What do you think ? Aren't we super hot ?! I think J is the best not being biased or anything he just really put himself out there . So much fun !

We went swimming with J's work buds on Saturday as well . Another fantastic weekend with over the top friends . Tomorrow we are going camping with J's family, I'm excited. Unfortunately we haven't done alot of camping this year. So I'm overly excited for yummy breakfast's in the morning, late nights around the fire playing charades and fries from Defa's cafe. I'm a camping girl !

Back to School

School 's in session and so far everything is going well. Joe really likes his new teacher and is loving that they switch teachers for every subject. I paused for a minute when he said they were doing this and realized my gosh they are getting him ready for Junior High. I seriously can't believe I have a fifth grader . I'm so not ready for him to grow up . I wish I would have realized how fast the years would pass by from babies to pre -teens UGH !

He really likes his math teacher and I'm hoping that will be a good thing since he struggles in math . Unfortunately he took after his mom in that subject. Don't you wish we could pick only the positive things we have to offer and pass those few things on only !

Cole I thing would have liked to have another month as a street rat , running and playing with all the neighborhood kids. He doesn't seem to be a big fan of school . But he says his teacher is OK . He enjoys P.E. , playing soccer at recess and Art. Hopefully he'll get more enthused as the year goes on. Here's a few pictures !

The past two weekend's have been crammed with summer fun . Two weekend's ago we took the boys to the Hilton again. They had so much fun last time and had to put it on our list of summer activities. We had a great time shopping at the Gateway and the kids enjoyed the water fountains there. Then we hit Red Rock for dinner and of course lots of swimming. It was a great family weekend ! We checked that off our list and moved on to the next item camping at my Grandpa's cabin . It was just Joe and me . I really enjoyed having one on one time with him . He is such a great boy. My cousins baby was up there , he's only 2 months and Joe just loved him and held him and thought he was the cutest baby ever. ( so did I ...I love babies ! ) He really is so good with babies. I hope as he gets older he continues to love them . He's going to be such a great daddy... just not for another 15 to 20 years.

Look out at Ensign Peak ! Easy, short family hike as long as you don't have a child crying the whole time because he's afraid of rain, thunder, and wind. I think our Jordanelle trip traumatized Cole . Cute pic. even though Cole has tears on his face. Any suggestions on how to cure his new anxiety over rain storms.

Finally some pictures !

After Jason participated in the Soldier hollow run I told him I would do at least 1 5k with him this summer. And I am proud to say on July 4th I did just that. Of course I had so much anxiety.. I haven't ran since high school and never have been fabulous at running. But J put me to work and made me run my a.. off for three weeks to get ready. I was hoping to just finish when I first started training. Eventually it started getting easier and my goal was to finish in 30 . When I finally crossed the finish line I was so thrilled to see I had done it in 28.41 not bad for my first time. I was pretty happy with myself I had actually done it and it was easier that I thought it would be. So thanks Babe for being so hard one me. I couldn't have done it without you pushing me to be better.Two Heather Ann Miller's aren't we cute .... funny that Jason and his brother both Married Heather Ann's ! HE-HE

Jason ran it in 20. 40 eighth in his division and placed 63rd out of 750 people not bad !

I took 16th in my division and placed 362. I ROCK ! At least I finished, go me !


Camping with Megan's family at Jordanelle what drama a big rain storm hit us hard the tent fell on the kids to funny ! We had to sit in the truck for over an hour . Such a mess but we will never forget it .



Baseball season is over and I think we are all feeling a bit relieved about that. It is a huge commitment and takes up a lot of our time but, so worth it. We made some new friends and really enjoyed the season. Joe's team went undefeated ! And won the Round Robin Tournament . His final game was a nail biter and we worried for just a moment they weren't going to pull it off . Of course they did and we are so proud of Joe and his team . We loved his coach and all the parents . It's going to suck starting over again next year. Cole's team came in 5th place and really improved I'm expecting great things next year. Cole did great he rarely strikes out . His greatest moment was starting a triple play for his team. He caught a fly ball and then threw it to second and second threw it to first. I was so ecstatic.That is why I go for those moments where it all comes together and the hard work pays off ! And to see the smile on their faces when they know they just did something great.

WAY TO BE !

Recently Jason has become obsessed with running and has decided he is going to spend his summer competing in 5k's . I'm actually really excited that he has found a new found passion/hobby. So, Friday night I went with him and our friends to show my support and do some serious cheering ! Once we got up there Jason of course decided that the 5k wouldn't be a big enough challenge and switched to the 9k . Soon after he made the switch I think he was feeling a bit apprehensive but, I knew he would do well . Jason is determined and has a lot of heart . He is great at everything he does and this time was no different . HE TOOK 12th place out of 76 runners ! WAY TO BE BABE ! You never cease to amaze me !
His friends competed in the 5k and did fabulous as well ! Davis took first, Bennett took second, Phil took fifth and Karen took sixth ( first girl in though ) really impressive.

CHAOS , Chaos and more Chaos......

life has been one event after another.. I'm struggling to keep up with all the activities going on. Last week I worked a 40 hour week plus all the boys games and threw my sister her bridal shower with my fabulous sister's Leslie and Jenni. Thanks for all your help. We pulled off a fun shower. And this week the craziness continues the boys had field of dreams the last two night with the Bee's . The boys announce them selves before the game and they put there cute little faces on the big jumbo tron thing... and then they get to run out to the position they play and meet the player from the Bee's who plays that position as well. Afterwards they get a tour of the dugout and locker room . The boys really had a great time !! We enjoyed both nights ! Good memories ! The rest of week is filled with the boy's games , wedding events, Joe's b- day party and spending time with my family they all arrived yesterday. When and if I get a minute I will post pictures. CABO

was fabulous ! We had the perfect balance of excursions and down time . One of my favorite moments was snorkeling and not because of the actual snorkeling. We saw Dolphins I assume migrating somewhere .... It was amazing to see hundred's of them swimming and jumping out of the water. So much cooler to see the real deal than all the tricks at Sea World. We saw whales as well. Totally awesome I loved it ! We hit Cabo Wabo where I got ripped around like a rag doll on the dance floor . Loads of fun ! This guy really knew how to dance and he swung me all over the place. I of course looked like an idiot not having a clue what I was doing . However it was a good laugh and I've been inspired to learn how to dance . LOL . What else ? We played in the ocean where I was ripped about by a huge wave and thought I was going to drown out there... I kicked for ever reaching for the top and never surfaced . It felt like an eternity ! Luckily I was washed back ashore. The tide coming in can be crazy strong but, so fun to play in ...we shared lots of laughs with Neil and Heather playing like little kids ! LOVE IT !!!!! Our trip was really enjoyable and I soaked up the sun every minute I could knowing this miserable weather would be waiting for us when we returned. I could have stayed there another week if I didn't miss the boys so much ! I think that is the best part of vacations coming back excited to be a mom laughing at all the boys quirks instead of taking it for granted and being to tired to enjoy it. Glad to be home even if the weather SUCKS ! I will be posting pictures soon !

I'm ready

I didn't think it would happen but, after a long night ( I was up tell 3a.m. ) I am ready to go. House clean, kids packed, me packed,laundry finished, St. Patricks treats put together for the kids, and schedule's handed out to those taking care of Joe and Cole. I'm so relieved and now I can enjoy some time with my boys before they go to Grandma's without being a stressed maniac.

I'm so looking forward to the warm sunny days. This fickle cold than hot weather makes me moody. I've been feeling a little conflicted about misc. things and I' m hoping after this vacation I can come back feeling like myself happy, and rejuvenated.
I mentioned earlier that my baby sis is getting married and I just found out that all my family is going to be able to fly home for the big event. Yipee ! So excited we get to be together again !
And it's not definite but I may be going to Calif. with Megan in July. She needs someone to drive home with her and then I would fly back. I would love to meet her family and see where she grew up ... can we say beach bum ... So keeping my fingers crossed that works out .
Anyway that is all. Thanks to all my family for helping with the boys.... so that me and Jason could take this much needed vacation !
