CABO

was fabulous ! We had the perfect balance of excursions and down time . One of my favorite moments was snorkeling and not because of the actual snorkeling. We saw Dolphins I assume migrating somewhere .... It was amazing to see hundred's of them swimming and jumping out of the water. So much cooler to see the real deal than all the tricks at Sea World. We saw whales as well. Totally awesome I loved it ! We hit Cabo Wabo where I got ripped around like a rag doll on the dance floor . Loads of fun ! This guy really knew how to dance and he swung me all over the place. I of course looked like an idiot not having a clue what I was doing . However it was a good laugh and I've been inspired to learn how to dance . LOL . What else ? We played in the ocean where I was ripped about by a huge wave and thought I was going to drown out there... I kicked for ever reaching for the top and never surfaced . It felt like an eternity ! Luckily I was washed back ashore. The tide coming in can be crazy strong but, so fun to play in ...we shared lots of laughs with Neil and Heather playing like little kids ! LOVE IT !!!!! Our trip was really enjoyable and I soaked up the sun every minute I could knowing this miserable weather would be waiting for us when we returned. I could have stayed there another week if I didn't miss the boys so much ! I think that is the best part of vacations coming back excited to be a mom laughing at all the boys quirks instead of taking it for granted and being to tired to enjoy it. Glad to be home even if the weather SUCKS ! I will be posting pictures soon !

I'm ready

I didn't think it would happen but, after a long night ( I was up tell 3a.m. ) I am ready to go. House clean, kids packed, me packed, laundry finished, St. Patricks treats put together for the kids, and schedule's handed out to those taking care of Joe and Cole. I'm so relieved and now I can enjoy some time with my boys before they go to Grandma's without being a stressed maniac.

I'm so looking forward to the warm sunny days. This fickle cold than hot weather makes me moody. I've been feeling a little conflicted about misc. things and I' m hoping after this vacation I can come back feeling like myself happy, and rejuvenated.
I mentioned earlier that my baby sis is getting married and I just found out that all my family is going to be able to fly home for the big event. Yipee ! So excited we get to be together again !
And it's not definite but I may be going to Calif. with Megan in July. She needs someone to drive home with her and then I would fly back. I would love to meet her family and see where she grew up ... can we say beach bum ... So keeping my fingers crossed that works out .
Anyway that is all. Thanks to all my family for helping with the boys.... so that me and Jason could take this much needed vacation !

Introducing Smalls

he is the newest addition to our family and I think he's a keeper ,the boys absolutely love him. Cole packs him around everywhere I have to force him to put smalls down . Smalls is pretty cuddly and a mellow dog except at night after 8:30 he gets a little fiesty if you try to maul him to much . He has the cutest growl he seriously think he's scary but, he is so not intimidating. We should probably tell him to quit yippin but, it's so funny that I find myself sometimes provoking him just so i can have a good laugh.

Anyway a few other things to ramble about

  • My baby sis who said she was never going to get married is in fact engaged and set to married on May 11. I have to say she is the most content and happy I'v e ever seen her in relationship . So congrats ! I'm excited for you !
  • Cole's last basketball game was Saturday.. he has enjoyed his games so much and I think we are all bummed that it's over.

  • We received sign ups for baseball yay ! I'm super excited I love baseball season with my boys. It is so much fun to watch them grow, play and make new friends ! It's the good stuff !
  • Jason and me have 3 more weeks tell our big vacation to Mexico . Yipee !
I'll post pictures later !

Almost a disaster

Last weekened we took the kids downtown to stay at Shilo Inn and let them swim. Well we start checking in and Jason and the boys go to check out the glass elevator. And of course it's broken . So Jason is a little irritated that sucks .......whatever. Then as we are heading to our room we ask which way the pool is and they inform us that the pools are not working either. But we can go across to the Hilton to use their pool. So I'm not thrilled by the idea of walking back in the cold with wet hair but, I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and not have Jason anymore upset that his big surprise for the kids has fallen apart. So, we got to the room and it's not so good the t.v. is like 16 inches and Jason is not happy . So long story short The Shilo Inn said screw you ! So we reserved a room at the Hilton and then went to check in at the wrong Hilton ( there are 2 hiltons down town ) an hour an half later we finally arrived and it was so worth all the drama . We had a great time and I have to say it was one of the best hotels I have stayed at.
Chillin in our room !

Jumping on the beds totally allowed when we are staying at hotels.

Having fun in the pool . We had it all to ourselves for awile !

The boys thought room service was the coolest thing ever . Yummy !

OMG ! December went by so fast. I didn't get into the Christmas spirit like I usually do. I think that part of the reason is my kids are getting to that age where a little of the magic is lost . I'm so not ready for that .. I wish they were still toddlers( my favorite age ) easily amused and bewildered by everything. I wonder some times if I'm going to look back and wish they were 9 and 7 . They are at a tough age constantly crazy, wrestling , rolling their eyes at me. Becoming independent and not needing Mom so much. Will I miss this to ..
Anyway it was a great Christmas they both received Nintendo DS and Cole got a ripstick I hope we don't regret that. They are little more dangerous than I realized.
New Years was awesome we spent it with the best of friends and I was so glad they wanted to ring in their New year with us ! And so grateful that we have been blessed with awesome friends ! We did the usual dinner, played games, danced and of course lots of laughs ! The next day we went Park City with Phil and Tiffany. It was so great to get away from our lives for a minute and just chill. Surprisingly the best part of the trip for me was swimming not sure why .Maybe it was all the hot Europeans (I'm assuming they were Europeans ) running around in their speedo's with all their fur exposed ! YUCK !!!!!!! Anyway pictures of Park city later Tiff was our photographer this year. Hopefully I'll get them and post at a later date ! Ok I have to go it's time for me to play the Wii!
Jason in the wig his Mom received from his Dad. Apparently Joe thinks Char needs help with her hair. LOL ! Great entertainment Christmas morning !

Ready for Christmas

We finally got the house decorated , it only took us a week longer than normal. It's been a crazy couple of weeks. Anyway, we whipped out the decorations and Christmas music and made a night of it. The boys absolutely love decorating the house while dancing and rocking out to run, run Rudolph Santa's got to make it to town. It's a rock Christmas song that has some fun guitar parts that they jam to ! Good times ! I love Christmas !

Rocking out with my boys !

Helping Dad put up lights !

This is my favorite decoration from my mom. (Precious Moment Nativity) I adore these figurines !

Cole had his first basket ball game today, he totally rocked ! He is so aggressive and competitive when he decides he wants to be good at something. Jason and I had a great time watching him he was doing lay-ups and stealing the ball totally fearless, and all kinds of crazy out there. So fun to watch. He scored 3 or 4 points and can't wait for his next game. He is disappointed they are only on Saturdays ! Afterwards we took him and his buddy Brenton to Chili's to celebrate their victory !! They of course were loud and obnoxious and full of enthusiasm . I find it really humorous that even at the age of 7 they talk serious smack about who is the better player ! Boys will be Boys !

SLAM DUNK OK NOT REALLY BUT HE WAS AWESOME !

Seriously boys are more than I can handle ! Aren't they silly ?

OK this is a bad picture but, I wanted my sis- in -laws from out of state to see my new hair cut. Everyone else move along . It's a little scary I took it myself . Yikes !
