Ready for Christmas

We finally got the house decorated , it only took us a week longer than normal. It's been a crazy couple of weeks. Anyway, we whipped out the decorations and Christmas music and made a night of it. The boys absolutely love decorating the house while dancing and rocking out to run, run Rudolph Santa's got to make it to town. It's a rock Christmas song that has some fun guitar parts that they jam to ! Good times ! I love Christmas !

Rocking out with my boys !

Helping Dad put up lights !

This is my favorite decoration from my mom. (Precious Moment Nativity) I adore these figurines !

Cole had his first basket ball game today, he totally rocked ! He is so aggressive and competitive when he decides he wants to be good at something. Jason and I had a great time watching him he was doing lay-ups and stealing the ball totally fearless, and all kinds of crazy out there. So fun to watch. He scored 3 or 4 points and can't wait for his next game. He is disappointed they are only on Saturdays ! Afterwards we took him and his buddy Brenton to Chili's to celebrate their victory !! They of course were loud and obnoxious and full of enthusiasm . I find it really humorous that even at the age of 7 they talk serious smack about who is the better player ! Boys will be Boys !

SLAM DUNK OK NOT REALLY BUT HE WAS AWESOME !

Seriously boys are more than I can handle ! Aren't they silly ?

OK this is a bad picture but, I wanted my sis- in -laws from out of state to see my new hair cut. Everyone else move along . It's a little scary I took it myself . Yikes !

OH HAPPY DAY !

Chic-Fil-a is finally open ! I have been waiting and waitng impatiently for my favorite joint to open. So excited to finally have a fast food joint in Jordan landing that I could eat at more than I should !
YUMMY !

Halloween night was fun and a little different for us . For the first time ever I let the boys Trick or Treat on their own . Don't panic it was just up and down their Grandma's street . That's what I kept telling myself anyway ! They really are growing up they don't need me to hold their hand anymore. And while it's great to watch them become independent and become their own little person it does make me feel like I'm not needed and a little sad to know that the days of babies and toddlers are over for me. And we all know that I love love babies and toddlers. Thank goodness for nieces and nephews !

Also a big event for Jason and me is coming up. The 19th is our ten year Anniversary ! We made it ten years ! I have to admit that like every married couple we have had our tough times but, I'm so grateful that we never gave up on each other. In the last couple years I have come to realize how much I love him and how happy I am to have my husband my best friend ! I find myself more now than ever having little moments that make me smile and I think to myself how truly lucky and blessed I am to have Jason in my life ! Anyway enough of that Jason ( not that he reads this ) will think I'm a cheese ball ! We went to little America this weekend to celebrate ! We had a great time shopping, hot tubbin, eating at their famous brunch and just enjoying a quiet moment by ourselves.
DEATH RIDER AND IRON MAN

J & me dressed up for some Halloween parties !
J & ME at the Uof U and TCU game trying to stay warm .

Heather and Neil cute cute!
Bunco girls Rachel threw on awesome Mystery Dinner party !

Anyway , I think that is about it ! I'm off tomorrow ! YEAH! I'm hoping to scrap, shampoo some carpets and maybe do a little Christmas shopping ! Have a Happy Veteran's Day !

Cole's birthday !

Cole's birthday was a week ago today. He had his first big sleepover with two of his friends that were brave enough to sleep at someones house other than Grandma's. We took them to see a movie and then they did the usual boy things. Trade Pokemon cards, fight with their light sabers, wrestle, watch movies and be rowdy !! A successful birthday and always a relief for me when I'm able to keep them entertained. I always stress that it won't be fun enough.
That same weekend I took the boys up to go hunting with their Dad. I have to say it's the easiest hunt I have ever been on . I told the boy's this isn't the norm . So don't think it's this easy ! Jason thinks you need to hike every mountain with very little rest in order to get a deer. It's brutal. We were driving along the road to go hunting and Jason jumps out of the car without even putting it in park . Loads his gun his hands are shaking ( BUCK FEVER )and he kneels aims and presto we have our deer. Four points on one side and three on the other. Jason was a little bummed the year before same thing two on one side three on the other. Maybe next year he will get the perfect four point. The boys said they were his good luck since he hadn't seen anything but doe's that weekend .
We also have been to two football games at the U of U ! I'm glad both times was great weather. We got to go to the Oregon game unfortunately we left a little earlier but, it was still a great game. I'm understanding football little better . Which is good right ?
That's everything new ! Hope you are all doing well !

This & That

Jason's shift changed and he is now on graveyards. I was a little nervous about this change I thought we would get on each others nerves ( countless years of having a husband always working weird hours will do that to you. ) or that he would be an unbearable tyrant about keeping the house "pristine " as he says. Fortunately it's been great far better than I could have hoped for. He lightens the mood at home . He and the boys are always telling silly jokes trying to one up the other. It really is cute to listen to them. And I'm so glad they get to see their dad more.

Obviously school has started and both the boys are doing fabulous . The big item to shop for was the shoes . Joe went with conservative New Balance sneakers. ( he is so his dad ) And Cole was all about the DC shoes . All the kids are wearing them mom ! So of course he had to get them even though his big brother gave him constant grief calling them gangster shoes . Lol

My new obsession is the Twilight series I love love these books. I read all of them in two weeks. I couldn't stop reading . Jason kept calling me Peggy (my mom) hehe if you know my mom than you get why this is funny. Anyway, I'm glad they were patient with me while I was sorta MIA for awhile. I so wish she would finish Midnight sun totally bummed that someone put her rough draft on the Internet.

And I'm sad I'm not ready for it to be cold . I love summer and all that it brings like my daisies they are the prettiest most friendly flower and I'm sad that it is coming to an end .

Cole' cool shoes !

Joe's shoe's I love New Balance

These are my Bunco girls I wanted to give a little shout out. I love these ladies they are so inspiring and I have learned so much from them. And most importantly they are fun ! left to right Megan, a sub, Eva, Terri, Haley, Amy bottom row Angela and me.

My Daisies I love daisies !

Summer Time.....

So we went to Lagoon I'm not a big fan of the rides , I'll go on them but, it gives me anxiety and makes me sick to my stomach but, I do so Jason has a partner. And my boys aren't much better they have always been terrified of rides and everything else for that matter. I love them but they are chickens about everything ! Until this year we convinced Joe to go on the Jet Star and after that he was hooked he absolutely loved it. Not long after that we had Cole talked in to trying the Bat ride. He loved it and they both continued to go an all the big kid rides ! Cole even did the Colossus I was surprised and impressed once that boy makes up his mind he can do something there's no changing it. Joe on the other hand was not about to go upside down on the loops. Maybe next year . I'm so glad they don't take after their mom and now Jason will have buddies to go on rides with . I'm sure they are more fun than me, I bury my head in his arm the whole time !!!

We also went to the drive inn with Skyler , Brenton and Aunt Kelly . I love Kelly's willingness to go with me and the rowdy bunch . They are work and she is a trooper about it. We had so much fun and the boys thought it was the coolest thing watching a movie outside !

Sorry !

Jason and me watching fireworks at kel's ! Cole fell asleep on my lap he was so tired !Joe surprised me this year our first time to the pool he went off the small dive , the second time he went on the high one . Totally out of character for him. I think he's growing up ! Sad !
